How to backup using JoomlaPack

In the top menu, look for the Components menu and click the JoomlaPack submenu.

Check the Details tab in the right panel.

If both directories are Writable than you may proceed to backup, else click the Options button and modify the Output Directory and/or Temporary Directory to a writable directory path from your web hosting account and click Save.

Now click the Backup Now button and choose Backup Your Site or Backup Your Database. If you Backup Your Site, it will automatically backup your database too.

You will have to wait some minutes, depending on how big is your website. When it’s done you will get a Backup is now complete message.
How to deploy your website using a backup made with JoomlaPack:
Extract the content of the backup zip file (eg: site-www.halcyon-solutions.com-20080215-043615.zip) to your desired directory (eg: /www/joomla/ on linux or d:\www\joomla\ on windows). Go to yourwebsite.com/joomla/installation/ and proceed with the steps you get displayed. After installation you will have a working copy of the website.
